This beautiful cave transports you to a world of breathtaking natural beauty. It got its nickname because of the Popeye 1980s movie. Where Popeye ( staring Robin Williams) had to fight a giant octopus. It is also referred to: L-Għar ta bla saqqaf / L-Għar il-bejta tal-fenek.

Popeye’s Cave is located east of Crystal Lagoon, and it’s only accessible by boat, making it a delightful adventure for explorers. It’s an easily missed sight, but once seen, its grandeur is unforgettable, which what really makes this place a hidden gem. It has a massive, open cavity with a collapsed ceiling that permits natural light to enter through a large skylight and reflect off the huge limestone boulders below.
